i've been super bored and unmotivated recently so i haven't been interested in anything lately.

i typically only play games on my pc. i've been working on getting my 2ds repaired soon, so it's been in my drawer not getting any use. i'm avoiding shows/movies right now because i'm dealing with heavy rumination right now and i get lost in my own thoughts too often. i used to watch movies more frequently but that was when my friend still lived in town with me, 9 months ago now. i get too sad watching them alone.

i don't really play any games. recently i've been playing disco elysium but i need to take breaks from it occassionally because the story is really heavy. i used to play a lot of gacha games when i was younger but the gameplay loop was really unsatisfying to me. i also had a time where i tried to get into fighting games, but it's hard to feel motivated when my self loathing gets really bad. i always liked cozy games, but they don't help with rumination as much as they used to because grinding is really mind numbing and boring after a while. i can't enjoy games like slime rancher or stardew valley after a certain point because they get too tedious. it's hard for me to list the games i actually like. i have the most fun playing emulated games or games on my 2ds. i like dungeon crawlers a lot, so shin megami tensei and etrian oddysey are one of my favorite game series.

it's been hard for me to fill my time lately. today i rode on my bike again, but it was steaming hot so i immediately wanted to go back inside.

A couple weeks ago, played Dying Light: The Beast - I enjoyed it a lot, but it took me about an hour to get used to the setting and everything.

Recently played Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, which I do NOT recommend. Couldn't even finish the game it was so bad and generic. Nowhere near as fun as the original, which came out in 2004.

I played Breath Of The Wild through CEMU recently(ish), that was a lot of fun, really amazing game, ask if you want to set it up. There's also some really wholesome mods that make Doki Doki Literature Club! really calm (the original definitely is not). A bit more mainstream would be Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, though it's quite demanding, but it's a really amazing story and not too heavy in the way that Disco Elysium is.

visual novels are really chill. i might look into the mods for ddlc. i remember trying to read the higurashi vns online and being bored because i wanted the slice of life to be over. i think i might go back to reading it. i've also though about reading some more manga again, but i get reading fatigue after a while because my brain is so soupy.

have you played it???? i don't know anyone that's picked it up but it sounds fun
I've only played a little so far. The battling is cooldown based. I remember you saying you get bored of pokemons repetitiveness so I don't know if it's any different in that sense!

Extremely easy repair, shouldn't have a hard time finding someone to take care of it no matter where you live.
yeah, i'm getting it fixed later this week. i also lost one of the shoulder trigger springs because it fell off my desk so i had to look around on ebay for a replacement. i'm glad i don't have any hard fixes.

Went back to Pokemon emerald. I'm too busy in life to actually commit to video games, so I'm just breeding and IV training Pokemon as a 1 hour hobby.

Do you know RetroAchievements? I don't game anymore, but I feel like it brings a big incentive to play a game to its completion.

Recently I played some Street Fighter 2, Toki, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs and Alien VS Predator on the Mame32 emulator on my PC. I'm not much into gaming any more, I played them because they remind me of a time when I was free from chronic pain and depression. Life was 1000x times better for me back then.

The last game I played recently to completion was Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, I have barely played anything in the last week or so; I don't know if this is because of depression/burnout/lacking interest or something else. I'm getting Lost Soul Aside in the next day or two as part of my subscription and The Simpsons is coming to Fortnite in the next couple of days, so I might start playing again but I'm forcing myself.

Having fun in Helldivers 2 at the moment. Not feeling up for anything story heavy right now either.

Recently found my original DS and PSP because I had to move some stuff (well, I always knew where they were) and really wanted to play them again but got mad choice paralysis. Getting some good ideas from here though!
