Discussion What season would you like to die in?

I have always wanted to die in winter. I find it more pleasant to imagine my dead body in winter than on a hot summer day. Someone close to me died in winter, so I think it would be nice to share the same scenery they did. I would like to stand outside one last time. The night would be almost bright from the skies light reflecting off the snow, creating a sparkling landscape and the silence that feels unique to a winter would settle in the night. The sharpness in the air seems more fitting for an end compared to the freshness of summer air. There is a calmness and sadness in winter, a sort of letting-go feeling. I like the coldness how it burns your skin. I don't know if I will ctb before winter I do plan on it but I love winter and it would be my preferred time to go.

I don't care about the season of the year bc there are external circumstances that make me suicidal and may push me over the edge - they are totally independent of seasons. However, my chosen method is CO with charcoal and summer (& fall) are the worst seasons for this method due to the heat.

If the worst case is gonna happen and I have to decide for any other method I wouldn't care about the season of the year as this is irrelevant in my case.

Actually where i live, as we are in the equator we don't have the common seasons at all, there is only a rainy season in the first half of the year and a more sunny season in the other half. I love the autumn and as I had never seen it i would die to see it in real life (literally lol).

For me it's more the time of year if I had to choose. Decembers are not the greatest for me because January is looming around the corner and just the thought of doing it all over again usually gets to me. So, November could work, and ironically that is also the month last year when I crossed the line to becoming suicidal. We only have hot and rainy and hot and dry seasons. The weather is supposed to be good if I make it till then, hot and dry.

That's such a sweet thought. "What season". My brain just doesn't think of things like that. I would have to say... summer, so that there's no chance of complications from snow or ice, in case anyone has to drive anywhere. Such as to transport my body or if anyone shows up at my funeral.

DEFINITELY summer for me. Its my favorite season. I'd like to die outside in a forest preferably, so it would be great if someone found me v fast or v late so i dont cook like a stinky ham on a hot summer day. I love summer because theres so much going on and you can spend all day and all night outside without getting cold. In my perfect death day scenario id go on a long walk around the forest far into the night and maybe die in the early morning as the sun is coming up. Just a fantasy tho. Take care yall!

Im also always so depressed in december, one of the worst months for me right after february and march. Christmas and the "lets all pretend to be happy" vibe deffo doesnt help. So if i do commit it would most likely happen in winter as thats the season i """attempted"""" (half assed) a couple times and also was hospitalised.

summer has always been my least favorite and favorite season. i like the feeling of it because the heat and humidity reminds me of where i used to live, florida, but i associate summer with depression and no plans. i'd like to wander around aimlessly in a forest at night and seeing animals like deer and rabbits, before finding a tree to hang myself from. my friend's house was in a forested rural area, so he'd drive through all the trees with no lights. it felt like magic.

I come from a place where winter pretty much doesn't exist, but I absolutely love the cold!
So a chilly winter night or a cold quiet winter dawn would be the perfect kind of weather for me to go

Cold winter. That's when my last attempt was although it was pretty childish and dumb (acetaminophen & Ibuprofen). That day it was supposed to snow but it didn't although it did later when I was in the hospital.

a warm late spring day, while it's raining. i would do it outside, and just let my body to return to the earth and nourish it.
it's actually that kind of day today, and while i don't plan on ctbing that soon (if at all. i've got serious stockholm syndrome with this whole "being alive" thing), i was sitting outside in the rain before, and i wish i could've just fallen asleep and never woken up. it would be so peaceful:)

Rainy spring or early fall night. There's something incredibly comforting to me about rain. It washes everything clean, and keeps people inside. If you can handle it, you can go anywhere and see anything during a good storm without anyone or anything bothering you. It'd be lovely to see the changing leaves and gathering clouds as everything fades to black.

Probably any besides summer. For me, I just like when the date is "pretty" (I find certain numbers and number combinations nicer and prettier than other ones), or meaningful...
But in terms of practicality, spring. Its not too hot, and not too cold usually.

Im kinda like that with 'pretty' numbers. Reminds me of something about myself related to numbers. If you add the digits of my birth date (day/month/year) until you get a single digit, it equals 9. Therefore, I plan to ctb on a date that also reduces to 9.
