Just finished seeing Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous which is an 8-episode Original CGI animated series by Dreamworks meant to take place during the Jurassic World movie (the one that came out in 2015). Each episode is only like 20 minutes so it took me only three hours to watch it.
I give it an 8/10. It's definitely meant for kids, but older ones who are no younger than 10. In case you were wondering, it's rated TV-PG in the US. It does have some tense moments and people do die (Offscreen though) considering this is a Jurassic Park property. It's canon too which is also nice. The animation for the human characters is standard for Dreamworks TV shows but the dinosaurs themselves look as real as if they were lifted straight from the actual movies. I wouldn't be surprised if they just copy and pasted the CGI used in those movies and brought it here. There are plenty of great close up shots of the dinosaurs so that's cool though their hyper realism might be jarring compared to the more cartoony looking people. I also liked the characters even though some of them I did not like at first. The show does a good job of focusing and developing on them and there's even a mystery element to it that hopefully will tie into the next Jurassic World movie.
