I am asking myself what is more intimate: sex or kissing.

I've been in relationships everyday since I was 15, and from my experience kissing is way more intimate than sex. I must have kissed my gf's by a factor of 100 times less than the number of times having had intercourse. Sex can feel like a dirty chore with a rather hedonist objective of orgasm. We are all hard wired to crave it at some point, but to me it's like eating, only with more of a comedown and more guilt afterwards.

Besides, with porn and mass media, sex in modern times is seriously tainted in most people's minds. It's not what it should be.

totally agree-in my childhood, seeing a dirty magazine was shameful and porn was not so common. Now it seems everyone is into gangbangs, BDSM and all kinds of 'extremer' stuff. Plain old sex doesn't seem to cut it for many and a lot of guys expect anal and other things they see in porn which still 70% of women don't do.

I'm not aromantic either but I don't care for many physical aspects at all. My last boyfriend DID so I tolerated some but not going so far as to actually have sex with him. Yergh.

If my crush re-entered my life, I'm willing to have sex for her. Yes, I abhor the idea and would want to die, but I have faith in her ability to make the pain pass. She was the only person I've ever met who made life... happy. I'm probably miserable now because I've felt that happiness.

Yeah, who am I kidding, I'm not strong enough for that. If she proposed that, I'd try to dodge the act by any means necessary. Probably by fleeing in the night.

I thought I was asexual until age 22 when one day the hormones kicked in and I couldn't stop thinking about sex.
But can relate, being asexual is normal and natural and there is nothing wrong with it. It actually makes so many things in life much simpler-having a sex drive can be a pain

That's a tough question. It's what you put into it. I can have the most intimate sex and never kiss her or it can be strictly a business affair where we both know what we want.

Same goes for kissing. Sometimes making out like you're 14 at the movies is far more intimate than anything or it's just a means to an end.
