Kindness just refers to being generous and considerate towards those around you and, by extentsion, towards yourself. It's a trait that plays an important role in interacting with others. Being kind allows us to better get along with each other, which is important in certain social species like ours. You can't build a good and healthy community without having people show kindness to each other. Its also an important part of good self care, since we also need to take the time to be understanding towards ourselves and take into consideration our own feelings and well-being, too.
