Hobbyweld have the statement (below) on their web site.

I don't understand what 'food grade' is. Does it mean not suitable for brewing beer? I had planned a cover of home brewing use, if asked. Does 'non-food grade' mean I have to have a re-think?
  • Is your nitrogen food grade?
No, although our nitrogen is 99.995% pure and free from oxygen, we cannot guarantee that it is suitable for food preparation or for food grade use.

Nothing to be worry about.

The worst you can get is some _traces_ of oxygen, but there is _none_, otherwise it would spoil the food and encourage bacteria growth. There is none. Don't worry about it.

Unless you plan to brew beer or preserve fruit in a nitrogen atmosphere free of oxygen contamination don't worry about it

Thanks, but the point I was making is that if Hobbyweld state they cannot guarantee suitable for food (brewing) I might have a problem if I tell them my cover story = home brewing. If I went ahead and bought after being told that my story wouldn't be very convincing. It would just leave me with the tyre cover story, which seems a bit less convincing.

Or am I overthinking? Any Hobbweld buyers here with problems in the past?
