Permant DDOS attacks? Seems one of the most likely scenarios. I am glad cloudflare is still supporting this forum.

Lack of new members? There are less active members compared to the past. Many forums die this way. On the other hand, there will always be suicidal people out there

Censorship laws? I am not sure what would happen if section 230 was revised. I mean the UK censorship had real impact on this forum. Or more laws against suicide discussions online.

Something I consider unlikely. Radicalization of members. There was a literal promortalist terrorist on here. And someone streamed on another platform a stabbing. I think though all platforms have to deal with such members. We are mostly peaceful and mostly only a danger to our own lives

Doxxing of members and staff? Not sure.

I fear my self-help group might be dissolved one day because noone wants to do the organization part. Theoretically, this could also happen to SaSu.

What do you think?

Interesting. What you say makes a lot of sense. I think the biggest risk though is individual members being prosecuted for things like having a ctb partner or sharing methods, leading to panic on the site and people leaving in droves or getting paranoid and overly cautious and clamming up

it's going to be censorship.

we live in a world that keeps gettign more and more broken, which can only lead to more suicidal people. the people in charge don't want to make life easier for anyone but themselves, and it's not in their interest for the masses to have a better life. therefore, the only option they will have left is to try and "fix" the damage they cause, or at least hide it, thru autoritarian laws and more strict censorship. and sasu is too big of a community to pass under the radar

Clearly a world where suicide methods are free and easily available/accessible is all we need to end this site for good.

Multiple more deaths amongst minors that they can connect to the site. They mostly care about young people killing themselves.

Whether they could entirely bring the site down, I don't know. Depends how resilient our amazing mods are. I imagine that would make them put increasing pressure on them though. Like Ofcom did.

But yeah, I imagine it would be more like the site becoming banned in more countries. Then, if the 'problem' continues or accelerates, I suppose they will start to restrict things like VPNs.

Unless something cataclysmic happens, I'd bet that the end will come due to a lack of new members. It'd be sad, because the forum is decent, but I'm guessing that the forum is getting (and will get) harder and harder to find as time goes on

I imagine there being a day where a horrible CTB partner case blows up enough online to get huge coverage. If not that then just how hard it is to find now and how much harder it will be to find
