Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

What do you think causes autism?

I've read part or all of the increase in diagnosis is because of awareness and expanding the definition. People also postpone having children until later and this increases the chance. What about BPA and microplastics? https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/03/150302150723.htm
People with autism are born with it, so it's likely genetics. As for the factors that contribute to said genetics, who knows? Some people like to argue that modern life has created the toxins that cause autism (plastics etc) but there's no proof that autism didn't exist before modern civilization. They just didn't know what it was and probably just thought it was caused by a magical curse or something.
The thing with correlation is that you can't proof causation, so while more autistic children are born by older parents, there are also autistic children born by younger parents. Older parental age is also correlated with Down syndrome and other conditions, so it should probably be looked into, but definitely can't be isolated as the single cause.
And vaccines 100% does NOT cause autism, just in case anybody still thinks that for some reason.
The modern environment with its higher population density, urbanization, hyper socialization, and greater noise and visual stimulus probably aggravates autistic people more than neurotypicals and thus probably makes their traits and behaviors more apparent, not to mention urbanization leads to more contact with abnormals of all types
20 Years ago, disgraced doctor Andrew Wakefield rigged the results of some very shoddy research and announced to the world that vaccines were to blame.
Unbelieveably, this theory, despite being refuted over and over, and Wakefield being stripped of his medicallicense, has persisted.
As a result, there are people who administer bleach enemas, chelation treatments and inflict endless suffering on their kids because they consider them to be "vaccine damaged". There is NO credible evidence for any causation whatsoever. Never has been. These people believe you are better off with a dead child than an autistic one.
Oh! And then he was basically drummed out of the UK. Fled to the states where he has been welcomed and befriended by that fine humanitarian in the White house. Now he spreads his poison there.
I believe it is mainly genetics and maybe the environment in which one grows up (a very small degree of it). Also, what @TheRiverStyz said sums it up pretty well. Back in the ancient times, people don't know what autism is so they called it something else, whatever made sense during that time period.
Genetics. I also think trying to find a cure is pointless cause like most mental/developmental shit it's very likely there won't be a cure and it's just something people just have to live with.
I bet it's going to be an everyday product that has been used heavily in the past 30 years. Food additives, makeup, cleansers, over cleansing, one of these.
Nothing "causes" it. Autism isn't a disease. Autism is a spectrum and part of that is a way a person processes information.
Like another user said, lack of information on autism and characteristics or incorrect environment can exacerbate certain characteristics and hide others which is where a lot of "masking" stems from
Idk knowing my brother has Asperger's just makes me cringe and wanna CTB , he's extremely rigid and although I'm not a social butterfly lately , it's sad to see he doesn't have friends , and my Dads kinda the same way where he doesn't like people
