What do you consider a loser?

Besides the usual definition. I just feel like a loser is someone who is missing out on a lot of life and doesn't have a lot to offer. Someone who can't or doesn't change their life.

A loser is someone that on most of the critical junctions of life took the incorrect decision or was exposed as insufficient. Cowardice, envy, resentment, these define a loser, while the winner is expansive, unbothered, content.

Any contemptible trait, I embody on some level. That's probably what makes me a loser that and the fact that my struggles aren't actually that bad on the relative scale of things and yet I still can't conjure the ability to overcome them. This is what makes me a failure as opposed to someone suffering through more genuine pain that still makes their life work for them,

I was partially saying it to be funny, but also serious.

Look, im 31. Im not going to school, im not going to get a job, im not in a relationship and I intend to be dead soon. I probably could make something of my life but i hate myself and am so depressed (sig for details) that I just dont give a shit. I want to leave so i dont have live with not being born under the correct circumstances. I'm extremely bitter towards life amd my defiance in leaving early is my last stand.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I have ever used the word outside of "sore loser" or if a team lost at something. Since life itself doesn't have a clearly definable goal I'm at a loss as to what it could mean. Even people who don't have any skills and are lacking in intelligence can still get by well enough. Then there's the thing where death makes equals of us all.

I watched a video that described a guy who fell 80 feet into a crevasse and then spent hours getting himself out. It struck me how much better a man he was than I for climbing in the first place and surviving a hellish ordeal like that, but then I thought that at the least I didn't wet myself inside a giant crack in the ground. So being a loser is all about framing.

I seem to associate it with desperation more than anything. Like my girlfriend was telling me about some guy that used to constantly send her messages on social media despite her never replying to him. My first thought was "fucking loser."

In general I feel like it's less about lack of life achievements and more about how a person conducts themselves. There could be a million reasons as to why someone isn't where they want to be in life, and not all of them are going to be their fault. Like I'm chronically ill, am I a loser for not having all my ducks in a row? In that instance it wouldn't really be fair to call me one, despite the fact that I'm obviously not totally satisfied with my life trajectory.

Hopeless. Without the will or drive to be better. Believed to be impossible to even be better with strenuous effort. Nothing in life to be proud of in many years worth of life. Without worth that isn't some "wow, you existed!" participation trophy. Even after death, strangers would say meh at the life they lived at the losers highest effort.

What do I consider a loser?

Two people are playing a video game.

Person 1 wins the match as usual, and says something like "Hahaha! In your face, loser. I won again. I'm the best at this. Wow you really suck at this game, you should probably just give up."

Person 2 says "Damn looks like you beat me again, well done. Good game! Man, this is such a hard game, how did you do that cool finishing move? I might try that next time."

Person 1 is a complete and total loser, and person 2 is a winner in my eyes.
