  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

It's really hard to focus and I'd be so thankful for a numbered list of things one could do to make themselves less suicidal. Short and long term. Please.

I don't want to do anything, I hate work, I hate myself, I don't have the energy for social interactions, I have constant panic attacks and intrusive thoughts, I have a lot of trauma and I'm constantly stressed. It's hard to take care of myself, I binge eat all the time and I used to have anorexia. I'm so done with my body, why do I need to take care of it constantly. I'm so scared of dying. I feel like I'm on fire all the time. I'm also disabled and it's super hard for me to exercise. I had a pretty good streak going until 3 weeks ago when I hurt my spine even more and now I'm so scared of exercise again. I hate myself and would love to not wake up. I have a boyfriend and he's probably the only reason why I'm still here. I take good care of him and we try to improve together. I'm so scared he's going to leave me at some point. I'm also having A LOT of trouble with sleeping. Can't fall asleep can't stay asleep.

i made some good friends in the psych. but about your post - a "normal" self regulating brain does not want to be suicidal either. but if you have depression, it is simply an imbalance of chemicals. all the symptoms you experience are the result of shit bein outta wack. you can treat how your feeling. find something, anything that makes you feel better. if you can't name anything, that's just brain fog. every single person on this planet has something that gives them some amount of dopamine.

i am always open to talk should you feel like it. i never used to talk ab anything concerning my mental health. but life is more than expectations. when you don't live up to the ones you set, that can hurt you. make little goals. get little wins. take little steps. progress is more important than perfection because you can't get one without the other.

one last important thing, find some people willing to talk instead of react with emojis. it can get better. its all up to if you, deep down, want to.

I can only really speak for insomnia, but hopefully you find this applicable for some of the other stuff. The only way I've found to get semi-immediate relief is to tend to the mechanisms of my body I CAN control. 4 waters a day and a shower can make the anxiety relatively manageable. I sometimes honestly have to do a chemical inventory of myself. Stuff like "Am I dehydrated? Do I have neck pain? Have I pooped?". Longer term, it's important to do something for the mind. That could be anything from reading a book, or sudoku, or drawing. Ideally, something that will leave you with a finished product. I keep a few shelves exclusively for finished books and crafts, so when I start rabbithole-ing about time lost to insomnia I have physical memorabilia right in front of me to prove otherwise.

Just stopped by Sa Su briefly. Don't have time for an organized post. I highly recommend watching this entire Jordan Peterson video, but especially minutes 12-18.

I'm constantly stressed.
You mention a lot of things and all of them lead to the fact that you are constantly stressed. That is a vicious cycle.

It's probably difficult or even impossible to break it up without any help. I would say the best you can do is to eliminate stress-factors. You probably will feel better after some time (several months) if you're able to reduce stress to 0 in the best case.

From my own experience: When I had a lot of stress I was very suicidal. I "switched off" last year, stress factors disappeared and now I'm hardly suicidal anymore.

He got dragged out of academia and into the public eye by Leftwing extremists who wanted to use the government to force him to speak the way they wanted him to speak.

This next video goes into the differences between two types of depressed people: those who have good or even great lives and should not be depressed and those whose lives are disasters and are understandably depressed.

The first 4 minutes of that video are excellent too.
