Method Touching the third rail

A method I haven't seen talked about around here, has anyone living in a big city considered going to a subway station and touching the third rail? I would imagine it's a quick death since your heart stops almost immediately.

Personally, I don't think it's good because a lot of uninvolved people suffer and are traumatised.

Certainly better and less traumatizing than throwing yourself under a train or laying on the tracks
