I don't think they're interested in us, some apes with nuclear weapons which will end up killing each other sooner or later.

Saw this yesterday. They could very well just be 3 mylar balloons tied together with string. I wouldn't get too excited about it.

I don't see why they wouldn't be, an entire planet full of new life forms would be pretty tempting. And I mean there's people who are interested in everything, we even got people who study rocks, I'm sure aliens would be no less diverse. Not to mention there is a high likelihood their technology could benefit in some way from seeing our or seeing the life on earth.

It's probably drones or something (cos we don't see "spaceships"/"little green men"/"bigfoot" anymore now that everyone has HD-quality cameras in their pockets)

What the fuck is that site.... yikes
It used to be a decent porn/reality video site (think liveleak but uncensored) but then it became just another gore site like kaotic/heavy/etc

It would be as tempting as for us to go and observe some ants. You'll eventually get bored of them. They're not interesting. Now, imagine a civilization which is able to travel among galaxies. How intelligent would they be? We would be literally ants for them lol.

As for our planet resources, sure, if we're in the way they'll just make us go extinct but not because they hate us or something like that, we're just...in the way.

I wish I could feel more special as a human being but the more I learn about science and this universe, the more inferior I feel haha.

Edit. Here's a video of Michio Kaku talking about aliens. I really agree with him.

It makes me laugh a super-intelligent alien race debating if they should make, first contact, well you know how astronauts dispose of their waste they bag it and jettison it into space, so ET is sitting there in a cloaked ship and one of the ET's could be making a really convincing argument for first contact and then a turd lands on their window screen, :smiling: I think they are just examing their neighbors from hell to see how advanced we are getting and what counter measures they may need to take not to come into contact with us.

Cheers

If we don't die of climate disasters first, that is.

That example literally is proof of what I'm saying since we *do* go out and observe ants! There's tons of research on them! People dedicate their lives to it even!

but even regardless there is tons of life on earth besides humans that are interesting too
