It's fundamentally based on the idea that the problem lies within an individual, even though at least half of people's mental illnesses come from toxic pressures in culture. Therapy is naturally uncritical of society's norms. So the goal is to reintegrate a mentally ill person back into the matrix and accept it as normal. Therapists are Agent Smiths.

Exactly. And adding on to what you said, even when you try to tell them this, they get all crazy defensive of those societal norms and push you to accept them without questioning them. Pretty much they want you to believe you are the reason for your illness. Ever heard of the Agent Smith effect? That's basically what it is.

When you get labeled with something you open yourself up to abuse of all kinds. Better to suffer silently than to be belittled, controlled, and spoken to like an idiot
