Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

This is the reason they don't want us to kill ourselves. Psychiaristists and psychologists will get fewer appointments if we kill ourselves. Companies selling mental illness medication will earn less if we kill ourselves.

I'm not sure if it's as rigid as you make it out to be. Yes, there's a financial incentive for drugs companies and mental health professionals to treat people with illnesses, but that doesn't mean that it's the only reason they don't want us to CTB.
I've had bad experiences with meds, treatments and with professionals themselves, but I still don't paint the whole Discourse and its workers/practitioners with the same brush. There are good psychiatrists even though many psychiatric labels should be seen as an optional framework to conceptualise mental ill health and distress.

Yep, the pharmaceutical companies are making a shit ton of money having their happy pills thrown at anyone who attends a doctors surgery and proclaims how shit life is.
While I wouldn't paint it so uncompromisingly, I certainly agree that profit motive (larger markets, longer treatments) directly contradicts the actual need to help people for doctors, and that pharmaceutical companies care little about helping people. It also works perfectly in tandem with a culture of individualism, where your problems are yours alone to solve, and there are no systemic issues causing anguish whatsoever.
It depends on which part of the mental health industry you are talking about.
psychiatrists and psychologists? probably not, but some definitely see the monetary reasons. most of them just follow some draconian laws and don't want to be liable about a death and just give you poorly understood medicine as if it were candy.
Big pharma? absolutely, this is arguably the worst and most fucked up part of medicine in general. they are greedy and push for dangerous drugs to be approved by corrupt organizations all the time. the worst part is that they are so extremely powerful that they get to dictate what's safe and what's not. one of the biggest criticisms of the DSM-5 (a book that some people take as the bible of psychiatrists) for example, is that it's indirectly backed by big pharma, so not only do they get to dictate when to use their drugs, they also get a saying on what behaviors can be considered a mental illnesses.

As someone working in this industry, it is frustrating when such blanket misconceptions are thrown around. Yes, there are bad psychologists and psychiatrists out there who take little pride in their work and are predominantly orientated around making money. But there are many others who know what it's like to suffer and are passionate about giving people the psychological toolkit they need to improve their day to day lives.
It actually works in my favour for people to recover and get better because then I get good reviews, appointments go up and people come back to me for top-up appointments - I do have to make a living after all... But that should never be at the expense of a client's best interests or welfare - I have encountered a few shysters over the years who didn't embody such concerns, and sooner or later they are always exposed for what they are.

That's my theory on why the government hasn't allowed people to die. Resources have always been and will be more important than human lives. It has been proven throughout history many times. Everything is about money.
This is the reason they don't want us to kill ourselves. Psychiaristists and psychologists will get fewer appointments if we kill ourselves. Companies selling mental illness medication will earn less if we kill ourselves.
