I don't know if you can hear me

Or if you're even there

I don't know if you would listen to a incel's prayer

I know I'm just an incel

I shouldn't speak to you

Still I see your face and wonder

Were you once an incel too?

God help the incels

Lonely from birth

Show them the love that they don't find on Earth

God help my people

We look to you still

God help the incels or nobody will

They say we're scum

They say we're trash

They say we kill and we rape and we maim

I just want love

Then I'd be blessed

I just want Stacy or Becky to hold me

I have the rope so I can go die

But I know so many less lucky than I

Please help my people

The loveless downtrod

I thought we all were the children of God?

God help the incels

Children of God.

I don't say I'm an incel, everybody calls us that. Article after article calls lonely socially awkward men who can't get a girlfriend "incels". You post on reddit about how the loneliness and touch starvation is so bad it feels like a physical pain and you get called an incel. Some articles about men who've never had a girlfriend call us incels by default. And then other people say it means men who hate women and just want to use them for sex. When the hell did I say that? The problem is people keep using the word incel to mean different things. There's at least three overlapping meanings:

1. Lonely socially awkward men who can't get a date and are sad about it.

2. Men who think they're entitled to sex and hate women for not giving it to them.

3. Any man the author does not like or politically disagrees with. For example, anti-woke youtubers like Jeremy Hambly AKA the Quartering. I've heard him called an incel even though he's fucking married.

why not just own your problems instead of identifying with a term that you are clearly aware has controversial connotations? first of all, incel is literally shortterm for involuntary celibate. this is inherently a term that should be used for discussions around sex since celibacy is abstinance from sex. If you match more closely with your definition in (1) then that's just called being single / lonely. And who cares if other people call you an incel for complaining about your loneliness? It is your choice to identify with that term. In all likelihood they themselves are insecure about not being able to express their own desire for company.

If I met somebody that loved me and I loved her, if we never had sex and just spent all night cuddling and I was otherwise celibate for the rest of my life? That would be worth it. That would be more than worth it. Of course I want sex, everybody does. But that's nothing without romantic love. Maybe we need a new word to separate us from what people now mean by "incel".

i know im only here to nitpick, but not everybody wants sex, lol. not even close to everybody, but i wont go into all the factors that contribute to the general view to the contrary
