I have started tennis training a bit ago, like start of march maybe. My psychiatrist wanted me to do a sport, and I chose tennis out of spite because she recommended pickleball with the pitch of "it might be easier". And so I picked the "harder" sport just to prove I can lol
/not to demean pickleball, I don't care, it's just my interaction with my psychiatrist. I have friends who play pickleball (?)

Today I had training too and coach asked what/who inspired me to pick it up. Like is someone in my family a player, or what… and I did not know how to answer him XD
I panicked and said my friends play (they don't)
I'm not sure if he can tell I was lying, I was preoccupied with warm ups so I couldn't really put my efforts into trying to sound like I'm not talking out of my ass XP

There are other sports I do casually sometimes like badminton and volleyball, but I think I'd want to make this my actual sport (?)
Like, playing sports is different from training for it. I don't know, I hope you understand what I mean
I mean I already have a coach and train weekly
Plus, he's starting to tell me about the shoes I need for it and to have my own racket etc.

I enjoy it a lot, and it makes me feel like I'm working towards something.

Anyways, anyone else play? I'm so new to it, I've never held a tennis racket until I met my coach and never watched tennis matches on TV or something (tbf I only really watch NBA and F1 sometimes)

My coach said I picked it up quick though, which made me happy:) He was training my footwork today, which felt easier when you grow up with an older sibling who was always bragging to you about their light and fast footwork when playing basketball LOL
I just imitated what I used to see them do, and it was right!! yay

Good for you! Getting out and being active can help you feel better. I love tennis although I can not play due to poor vision. Hope you continue enjoying it!
