When two people I knew said this because they know I have depression ...I guess it is a bad idea to say it to someone.
What if that person feel that life has no meaning or no liking , then take ownership for what? For killing yourself?

Kind of stupid to say to a depressed....

Well you dont actually own yourself, otherwise you would not be dragged into a psych ward for attempting suicide.
