The ones I can think of are The Man who Sleeps, a personal favorite of mine, and The Fire Within by Louis Malle. There's Dead Poets Society, too.

Oh, and Detachment with Adrien Brody. Really depressive

After Life. Japanese film about a "company " that makes films for dead people so they can spend eternity living their happiest memory. Very sweet film.

Heaven is for real with Greg Kinnear. His son dies and meets Jesus. The dad is a pastor and can't seem to accept why he hasn't somehow had some such type of experience. He asks his son what Jesus looks like and is it like all of the depictions we see and the boy says no. I don't want to give too much away but the boy later sees a painting which you can buy copies of on eBay right now. The painting is another story on its own. Mind you, this is based on actual events but it didn't happen to me. I'm not skeptical but also not convinced but that's the story of my life. If you watch it let us know what you think

An Elephant Sitting Still fits the suicide category I think, I've been recommending it to people at college and it's pretty good.
