Self-stabbing and my experience.

18th of March last year I stabbed myself with the intention of dying. Unsurprisingly, this isn't a common method to ctb and I haven't seen much if anything written about it, so I thought I would make a post about my experience. TLDR: it's way harder to die this way than you think, and surviving...

I would not think of this as a good way to go but I have cut myself before and you can get some deep cuts almost by accident. So all of a sudden you can find yourself bleeding out quicker than you expected. I didn't bleed out but my cuts ending up doing more damage than I thought they might. I was drinking that day which is the only way I have ever done that. Haven't done it since though.

I have thought about slashing the jugular though as a possibility but that is much different than making a few cuts on myself so probably unlikely.

My methods will probably be hanging or gun to the head so I think cutting won't make the list for me either.

Avicii did himself with a broken wine bottle. I enjoyed his music. It's too bad.
