SN - sounds and specifics

guys i really want to ctb in a place where only my family can find me and not strangers. i dont want anyone else touching my body. however, the only time i can ctb would be the nighttime and id only have approx 8 hours before they find me. would this be sufficient time? also, how loud is a person generally who takes SN? I dont want to wake them up/ wake my dog up because that would ensure that I dont ctb properly. please do help me out.. I'm sorry for making continuous posts about SN, its just that I really want to get this right and not be rescued...

what do you mean by loud? Like pain noise? I don't think you'd be up to make any pain noise. The SN would knock you out in a couple hours. 30mins-1hour you'd make some noise like moan, gasp, or crying. 1-2 hours you'd hardly be able to make noise, I guess you could still do that but it'll be very quiet since you'd be feeling short of breath. 3-6 hours in you might be already dead. A dosage of anything above 50 grams of sodium nitrite will kill you in under 3 hours. In certain cases patients died in only 2 hours even with treatment but due to organ failure they passed away.

would you recommend i put on loud/medium music on for those 30-45 mins so that even if i have any gasping sounds it wont be heard? also, do you think its wise for me to do this in my own room?

Putting on music to cover up any potential sounds could be helpful. It depends on if the music would then draw suspicion/irritation.

Location choice is individual for people and depends on a few things.

• Are you going to have enough time alone? This includes potentially being heard by someone
• Comfort. Do you want to be in a familiar place?
• Thoughts about who will find you. If you do not live alone, you will most likely be found by family/ a roommate. Some people do not like this idea and choose to use a hotel room to make it less personal.

The choice is up to you.

The latest PPEH edition 2025 recommends to be at least >24 hours alone or not disturbed when using SN. That's why I am not really comfortable with this method. Also one could vomit (not 100%, when anti emetic is taken)

Which is strange as their published timeline is death in 40 minutes. Undisturbed for 24 hours just seems excessive to me but if ones wants to be absolutely sure, I guess.

i could do it away from my family too but i would prefer if my family found me as opposed to random strangers...

I, too, need a way to ctb without waking up my whole house. I live with roommates and would wake them up.

I need to ctb without being saved.

I wish I lived closer to the woods so I could be alone.

keep in mind what you're ingesting is poison, you are dying, tv etc has been enough for those in locked apartments alone or solo in a hotel room. I think you're taking a massive risk doing it with people in the same house as you. that's not to say it's impossible as every case is different but there's no way of knowing beforehand how it will affect you specifically.

most accounts we have here indicate unconsciousness by the 30 minute mark after ingestion. this is not a blanket number. as said above the pph specifies 8 uninterrupted hours for the entire process, but you won't be aware of most of it, on a case by case basis.
