I've had sleep issues since before my boyfriend passed, but now it's even worse. I'm on 3mg eszopiclone (lunesta), practice sleep hygiene (mostly), also take melatonin, diphendrahydramine (benadryl) sometimes.

While I know there are other practices I could focus on (meditation etc) what sleep aids are effective for you? I definitely understand that not every medication is needed, nor is every medication the same for each other. Just seeing if there are more effective or other types of supplements or meds to take. Bonus points if it also gives vivid dreams.

I am not able to take benzos for my job unfortunately

They do drug test pretty frequently

I've been on Seroquel before. Not as effective for me unfortunately.

I try and cycle off lunesta to maintain it's effectiveness. Looking for something to take in lieu of when I'm in off cycle.

I've taken Ambien before which works amazing for me but my doctor doesn't want to prescribe it.
