Sorry dumb ? but I found a couple of members on here, that I'd like to ask questions of and I believe they're still here but they just stopped posting, not because they're no longer with us but because I think they just gave up on the site. For instance, I think a lot of the mega threads are just dead, for lack of a better word, and I see a lot of random threads being started as general posts.

I get it, we're all trying to get answers to our questions as quickly as possible in some cases and that's kind of what I'm looking for.

For instance, I'm looking for a couple of posters on the firearms thread because I decided to go that way so should I start posting there again looking for them or do I post the general firearms questions someplace…or do I need a certain number of posts before I can try to contact someone? Thank you for any help!

You may need some more posts, idk if it is 5,10,20... or 2,3 or 7 days or whatever combo. Tho u can ask in that thread, and may get equivalent advice.

I tried looking in the rules section and search but couldn't find an answer and I don't know if this is the right place to ask. Is there a time limit with regards to replying to a post? Just I've seen some interesting ones while scrolling around and have gone to write something only to notice that the post is months or sometimes even years old. I ask because it's a rule on another site I'm on where people can be super sensitive about 'triggers'.

no time limit... if it is follows the rules, is relevant and (maybe) kinda helpful, one can reply :)

I might've revived a few month old thread that way, before and after it got daily replies (tho it could have gone inactive again)
