Silly stuff makes me happy

My day to day life is such a repetitive slog but I've been able to find a little joy recently in stuff that seems silly or juvenile. maybe someone would attribute that to some kind of neglected inner child thing or whatever, but if i think about it too hard I'll get upset haha. lately I've been watching a lot of anime, and I recently bought a small plush of my favorite character :) holding him makes me happy even if its just for a moment. it's the kind of thing that, as an adult, I'm embarrassed to tell people about, but I can't deny that it makes getting through the days a little bit more bearable.

I'm curious to hear from other people what kind of small things make you smile.

Silly stuff is great.

I collect plushies, have done all my life, my bed and book case are covered in them. I take one along in my messenger bag whenever I leave home. And that bag is covered in buttons and pins--some serious, some anime characters, some just cute and fun.

I wear silly hats--I have a panda bear, a cat. I need to expand my collection, though.

I have a cutlery set that's made to look like a cat's leg, the top is a cat paw and it's really cute. I eat out of a gorgeous pink sakura bowl I found at an Asian market, just because it's pretty.

and idk if it counts as a silly thing, but hanging out with my sister like watching anime together is really makes my day

I paint my nails constantly. It is nice to look down and see something colorful and sparkly during the day.

I also do things like jump in puddles when it rains and kick rocks down the sidewalk. Generally I act like a 5 year old.

For me is my dog doing wacky shit like getting excited cuz I picked up a small mirror? Idk don't ask me.

And for me watching memes with my sisters fr like to the point I choke from laughing.

Is really hard to smile once in a while but enjoy laughing

This reminds me during winter when the puddles are frozen I like to step a food on the thin layer of ice to watch and hear it crack it reminds me of when I did it as a child. Also looking closely on frozen leaf's and any snow covered surfaces to watch the frozen crystals sparkle, again it reminds me of when I was looking at it as a child mesmerized by it´s beauty.

Thinking back on it as I´m writing this now it feels like it was from a distant time so long ago that it feels as if it is from a different life yet the happy, curious and cozy feeling of me on a winter´s morning looking at these sparkly icy surfaces insures me that I in fact did experience it once just very long ago and it felt amazing.

I mentioned this in another thread but I'll drop it here too I love when video games let you sit down. Playing a game and having my character struggle through intense ordeals or go on a huge adventure and being able to just have them sit on a bench or under a tree for a bit. It's like, "damn that must be nice, you earned it buddy"
Some of my favorite things to do when I played FF14 was just take screenshots of my character sitting and chilling out in front of the dungeon entrances or other interesting looking places.
Death Stranding let's Sam sit down wherever and give himself a shoulder massage and I'm just so pleased by that. I just want my guys to get comfortable sometimes.
