I need to sharpen my English. So I need some books. Send me one of the best book you consumed.

You can post comic books too. But make sure to describe. Don't describe the book.

Describe how the book made you feel in a certain way overall.

Fiction: American psycho. I know the film was awful... but the text was nominated for a place on the US high school curriculum. It's a brilliant example of how the format and content reflect the thought process of a psychopath. I gave it to my son to read when he was 12. He hasn't become a violent criminal or killed anyone. In fact, he is an artist with his own business and work in Tate modern.
Non fiction: Flashbacks by Timothy Leary. It's his biography or autobiography.. not sure which.

Your answer reminded me of this answer! Is your son in this forum? Wow, seeing fathers in this forum is interesting. I wish my NPC dad was one of those forums, that'd be interesting. He has always been an workaholic though.

As far as I know he's not. I'm their mother, not that it makes any difference

Sorry that was my mistake. You are a woman. Besides, I have checked American Psycho book and found it good enough to read for me. I think I might read that.

Even though it's a translation from French, i recommend 'Froth on the Daydream' / 'Foam of the Daze' (depending on the translation) by Boris Vian. I love its strangeness and absurdity mixed with the very real and perhaps relatable issues the characters have to face. After I read it, it genuinely made me view the world a bit differently...

although i read it in spanish bc its the original language, the tunnel by ernesto sabato might be my favorite book up until now. its about this artist that becomes absolutely obsessed with a woman to the point that he fantasizes about her and they evolve into having a toxic relationship and ultimately, one gets murdered. i definitely recomendable it
