They do not know how to treat it because it is a rational and conscious decision for someone's plight. Our society norm's simply can not accept this because they still function under the paradigm of suicide as a negative outcome for society.

Exactly, trying to cure a belief is like conversion therapy tbh. Suicide is a complex topic, you may notice even those who go into recovery often stop caring about the right-to-die and such.
