• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Whoever ctb by sepsis a couple days ago.. I think that's the most gnarly way I've seen since I joined. They didn't say where the source was but the amount of bacteria but wow… what a story it was.

Any other wild goodbye threads over the years to share?

Idk, but that's the same person who created the "non methods not to be attempted" thread pinned in the resource section, so it's a little ironic. But if it worked for them, more power to them.

apparently you can order infectious bacteria online from the dark market, not saying that is how they did it but it's a possibility. I'd say that's the craziest one i've come across yet and i've been thinking about it for the past few days.

The bacteria that he used to induce sepsis are almost certainly Clostridium perfringens. He didn't want to name it outright, since it would weigh on his conscience if someone did it because of him, but not only do I think no one even has the knowledge or resources to try this (his situation was exceptional), I also don't care. Still, it is as he says: A natural source that is accessible to anyone, and is mostly harmless, but is incredibly dangerous if allowed to bypass tissue barriers and is injected straight into the bloodstream.
Do you have a link to this you can share?

he's been talking about sepsis for a while. it's kind of crazy that he really went through with it this time. i've read some of his posts but never expected him to keep attempting with it, since it sounded really awful and painful.

It sounded like he was brought to his wit's end, and did try everything else possible before settling on that. The way I see it, there's a mental difference between someone who has desperation and suffering in their eyes, and someone who has had all hope and light snuffed from their eyes. I believe he was one of the latter.
And, yes, it is a very unpleasant way to go. It causes severe hemolysis (blood cell destruction) and eventual shock and organ failure.
