Help Self harm with hot knifes?

If you heat up a knife or blade and press it to your skin, does it work well?
If so, what should you expect from it?

If you just hold it against your skin? A normal burn mark. Depending how long you keep it on the skin it might cause permanent scaring.

If you cut yourself with the hot knife you will most likely get a pretty bad infection depending on depth. Maybe necrosis that needs to be cut out

probably a really bad infection if you try and cut yourself with a hot knife.
