Hi everyone,
New member here and not familiar with all the acronyms so please bear with me.
I am in my mid 40s and have a long standing illness since age 11. My physical health is deteriorating more and I would rather not have a painful death at home on my own. Or end up hospitalised for who knows how long with diminished functioning. So I want to prepare to chose my own time, place and peaceful passing.

I live in a Country that doesn't have access to Nembutal which I have decided on as the best method after reading the pill book guide and researching. I decided getting liquid N from a veterinarian clinic is my best option. Then to proceed to take it rectally using an enema. I have to use enemas anyway and this seems far simpler for me than anti nauseants and drinking a nasty concoction. I'd like to know if there is any thoughts or information on this that I should be aware of.

Then as I can not source this here it looks like going to South America is my only option. I have the ability to travel anywhere and have been looking at Mexico and Peru. Although I see Bolivia and Columbia are possible options too. I wouldn't be returning so I don't have to worry about customs. I'd plan to enjoy a couple of weeks holiday there and then proceed. I am really looking for help to make sure I chose the right place to travel. Perhaps assistance in finding a local guide if anyone has been there or local advice if anyone is a resident of these countries.

I have signed up to the telegram group and hope I can talk to anyone who may advise me. I am also in the process of seeing an estate lawyer to get my affairs in order as I do not want to leave a mess for my sibling.

Hi, in Mexico sale of N is pretty controlled. From what I have seen, distributors only sell that to vets or you have to show a prescription that is pretty controlled (name of the vet, dosis, etc). Thats the reason most vets dont sell N and they applied directly to the animal.
Maybe in a small town or a remote place some vets wont mind to sell you a bottle, but It's not that easy anymore in Mexico.

Thank you. I hadn't put Mexico on my travel list as I also felt it had the most media coverage and most tourist accessibility so I ignored it. I did. have it as if everywhere else fails country to try. I am going to Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador and then depending on how it goes might visit Columbia or more rural areas in other places.
Thank you so much for sharing more info

It's not called N in Columbia probably why you had issues?
Each countries has their own brands and productions.
Small update currently in Ecuador. Saw a doctor today for only $25 they came to my hotel a doctor and a nurse. Prescribed me both clonazepam and xanax (local brand) also some altitude sickness medication which is OTC. Muscle relaxants that required a script in Peru are over the counter in Ecuador. I also was told showing an old bottle or prescription was fine to get anything refilled at the Farmacia. Pretty incredible really less than an hour wait straight to hotel. Total cost at pharmacy for a few boxes of medications was $17.

So that's Peru Bolivia and Ecuador all easy to get benzos, cheap otc anti nauseants, and easy to get muscle relaxants too. That's all my research so far. Nearly at the end of my journey will be spending more time in Peru and Bolivia. Ecuador was the one I felt less safe, but there are armed guards everywhere. Protecting tourists is a high priority. Every restaurant I go to has a guard stationed and my hotel too. In saying that I've seen the sights, walked around and never had an issue. I have followed local advice, no jewellery, don't carry cash over a few dollars, don't walk with phone out etc. Lima is apparently the same but as a tourist you kind of go straight from the airport to miraflores ne it's safer there than anywhere.

I've had an incredible time in South America. People on here tried to tell me it would be awful I'd get arrested, kidnapped etc. nothing of the sort just regular countries with regular people. Obviously I'm not going home I've been getting tired the last few days and looks like my trip will end in one of two spots both in rain forests.

Just another small update.
Went to Machu Picchu. Was incredible and seeing the sun temple and all of the beauty and ancient ruins was one last thing. A quick return to both Bolivia and Ecuador shortly. Currently in an amazing hotel, I have to make a stop to go and return to a couple of people who touched me in my few weeks here. To see if I can provide some small wisdoms or gifts to make their lives better. I feel guilt to leave them, as I think it will be a shock to them. I hope they will remember me with kindness and understand more why I treat people with respect.

Again Peru is amazing, Ecuador slightly worrying but with precautions completely safe. Loved it. Bolivia again zero issues, great people, easy navigation, no safety issues with common sense. Zero regrets, this has been all I wanted and more.

I hope this process goes well for you and you end up leaving well and in peace if you choose that. Sometimes, members who choose to catch the bus (ctb) do it in a very organized way, for rational reasons, and they do it in a way that isn't so bad. They "leave well," doing things in the best way they can.

For many people, a hard part of this process is that it's a lonely process because by its nature you can't easily talk with others about it. Sometimes chatting with others on here can alleviate that.

If this is what you want to do, there's a lot of good information about what not to avoid accidentally getting hurt and surviving in an even worse state.

Yes that is me. Got a will drawn up, appointed lawyer as executor. Settled and closed all accounts and made a list of those that had to remain open for my travels. I think as I'm quite introverted it's been enough to chat with a few people here. I'm at the end of my journey now for sure. I think Adrenalin and excitement got me this far (for this final incredible journey) my health has deteriorated rapidly the last two days and I almost wondered today if it might just happen naturally. Either way this has been for me the way to go about it. I am certainly at peace with leaving now and feel I did those final things in life I wanted to enjoy. Thank you for such a nice reply
