Ritalin for depression

It can help a lot in my current (limited) experience. Also, gives me insomnia. Yeah. Fun.

The speed-like qualities of Ritalin (like insomnia) might be reduced with lower dosages.

I actually could sleep last night. It was 20 mg in the AM. Im better on it, earlybdays though, and it doesmt make.my actual life better or change the reasons I want to CTB

Back in the 1980s when ADHD was a big thing, teachers were usually the ones pushing for drug use because it made it easier to push kids through the education machine. Some kids found the extra energy to be useful. Depression is not so much a lack of energy, but more a lack of a reason to spend energy.

If you experiment with diet, exercise, sleep schedule, and activities, you might discover something that ignites a passion and helps draw you out of yourself.

I did the same and later on i abused different kinds of stimulants... Later on i had a burnout and now i am addicted to some stimulants . So i cannot recomend using it cause in beginning it helps but in the end its even more fucked up to get back out of depression , thats my expirience.

Tbank you. It gave me twi days of rekative energy. Tiday, I wenr for a walk, whuch would usually not be oossible, but was still quite depressed.

I dont have anytbing really left to try....sp I guess it was lucky it helped for a dsy or two

i would not have thought it would work for depression at all

the only way it might seem is, if like me, you could not stay awake during the day, helping you to be more alert can help with depression, but then you are not depressed, just very tired and unhappy because of it

i was officially on ritalin for adhd (although there has never been any "h" in me) for many years, and then was put on pristiq for depression. perhaps now having changed to dexamphetime, i no longer need the anti depressant, but it seems that pristiq can help with adhd too, so i am staying on it

i could take a 5mg ritalin in the afternoon, and within 60 minutes go and have a nap. it didn't keep me awake at night, but i would make sure it was taken early enough to not get in the way of sleep

Tbe Ritalin does help me a bit. I think cos it raises the dopamine and norephprenine available. It helps more when I add speed, but Im not sure thr speed is real, and sure, it's dangerous. I can't function without stimulants. Coke was helping. Still does a bit, but Ive learned it damages dopamine receptors, and it makes my nose run constantly.

i have found that the dexamphetimine much more gentle the ritalin

ritalin was great, and still is - it kept me alive for around 15 years, but once i was put onto a dosage i needed, it started to make me feel queasy. from 2008-march 2023 i was on a fairly lowish amount. it was becoming impossible to stay awake. i doubled my dose from march to december, and could feel it kick in a few minutes after taking it. in december, it was doubled again, and while i was awake and more alert, if i exerted myself, my heart would start beating very fast, and i would feel sick

after a few weeks of the last dosage, i was put onto the dexamphetime. it works as good as ritalin, but you don't really feel it kick in, as opposed to you just realise if you haven't taken it a few hours after your normal time to take it. also i can exert myself much more and still feel good, so overall it is much better for me

I think that it makes me more depressed, and guess what, other stims aren't available in my shit country. None of the other meds work.
