Hello,
Here in the forum, the recommendation is to place a bag or tablecloth under the rope ,
apparently to make the rope less painful (and perhaps to reduce bruising if it doesn't work).
As far as I can remember, I have never seen such supports in any video or photo.
Or have I overlooked something?
I find it difficult to imagine what the rope looks like on the neck with a support and wonder
whether there are any disadvantages.
A tablecloth (!) can be quite thick, so wouldn't the tablecloth make it harder to compress
the carotid artery ? And a bag is smooth to a certain extent, so couldn't that cause the rope to slip?
But maybe I'm imagining the wrong thing when I think of a bag or a tablecloth.
This is what I think a tablecloth is:
This is what I think a bag is:

I thought about using adhesive tape as an alternative, so that the base doesn't slip off the neck.
And there are adhesive tapes with a comparatively rough surface, so the rope shouldn't slip either.
What do you think?
Here, for example, is parcel tape (environmentally friendly parcel tape) with a (comparatively) rough
(or at least less smooth) surface:

Many thanks and best regards,
