Questions about two drugs for ctb

I have a prescription called trazodone that's used as a sedative off-label. Can that work? If so, how much would I need? I know the PPH has recommended trazodone for use with N to ctb.

I also have hydroxyzine pamoate which is for anxiety. It's not a beta-blocker but can this work in place of a beta-blocker? If so, how much would I need?

I'm thinking... if I'm going to use hydroxyzine for anxiety I would have to start taking it 2 weeks before I ctb (to let it take affect/reduce my anxiety)

Wait, is hydroxyzine enough? Not sure if the long term ones are enough? I think you need s short term one

What do you mean by long term and short term? Like if the drug takes a long time to start working or a short time? I just thought that since I have hydroxyzine I could use that in place of propranolol

Well i also just got hydroxyzine but I think you need an actual benzo which acts as a CNS suppressant and is fast acting. I think the mechanism of hydroxyzine is pretty different .

Are you planning to ctb without benzos

So, I used to take Trazodone. I know everyone's body will react differently to medications, but it actually didn't sedate me at all. Same with hydroxyzine. Benzos are your best bet, truly. (I used to work in pharmacy for many years btw)

I was actually planning on ctb with propranolol (a beta blocker). But, I just read a thread that basically said you shouldn't use propranolol, haha. But, yes, I was planning on ctb without benzos

I tried trazodone at different dosages. I tried 100 mg and 50 mg. I felt sedated at 100mg and not at 50mg.
