Since there are quite a few German users on the forum I wanted to ask a question about the meaning of the lyrics of a dark ambient song that I like to listen to sometimes, knowing the author of the song I imagine it doesn't have much meaning but I'm still curious about what sentences are said, I can understand a few words and it seems to be talking about humanity but the rest is a mystery to me, since the song is long start it from the middle, that's about where the sentences begin.

I have to say I expected a darker text instead it's beautiful!

It seems perfect as a farewell song.

In the end, is the pun between doll and chrysalis intentional? And once it is translated as doll and once as chrysalis? Or maybe it is translated both times as chrysalis or doll? The verse seems identical.
Maybe both times as a chrysalis makes more sense.

Ich muss sagen, dass ich einen dunkleren Text erwartet hatte, aber er ist wunderschön!

Es scheint perfekt als Abschiedslied zu sein.

Ist das Wortspiel zwischen Puppe und Chrysalis letztlich beabsichtigt? Und einmal wird es als Puppe und einmal als Chrysalis übersetzt? Oder wird es vielleicht beide Male als Chrysalis oder Puppe übersetzt? Der Vers scheint identisch zu sein.
Vielleicht ergibt beide Male Chrysalis mehr Sinn.
