Help Question about SN

How can you tell if you have the real stuff for SN. Any help will do.

I think there are two types of testing you can do with SN. One being a blood test and the second an aquarium test kit. I might be wrong but theres lots of guides detailing both methods. I did the blood test, collected a bit of blood, sprinkled some SN and mixed it and the blood turned brown.
