Question about notifications

I noticed I don't get always a notification from a thread I posted in.
I assume if you haven't posted for a short while in a thread, you won't get any notification anymore.
Does anyone know is there some timelimit to receive a notification ?

I've noticed i don't always get a notification even if i've posted in the past 24 hours.

So i'm equally confused...

You will get notification to the post after your post. If other post/s is/are made but you didn't visited the thread then you won't get further notification.
