  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello.

Are side-effects of anti-depressants and anti-psychotics meant to appear during the first week or two? Or can they appear after a month as well?
I'm asking because more than a month has passed since I started taking these medications and I feel like I'm getting worse and worse.
I'm wondering if this is some side-effect I should power through or if I should just stop taking the medication.

Oof, that's a tough situation. Those are called paradoxical side effects. They're rare but do happen sometimes. Usually it's within the first few doses but they can happen later on. Idk what country you're in, but in the US there are black box warnings on those types of drugs for these reactions. If your prescribing physician is not aware, I would contact him/her ASAP. Those are serious side effects. Even if they know, I would message them again before stopping anything. I'm really sorry youre experiencing those, that must really suck. Hopefully your doctor can pinpoint which of the drugs is causing this.

Hello! What are the medications and what are the side effects? The doctor who prescribed them to you would likely know best. Also, please don't stop these medications at once. Depending on your dose, you may need to taper off them, which your doctor will instruct you on how to do.

The medications are Paxera, Gyrex and Ozaprin. I take one pill of each everyday. The side-effects... well... they're kinda doing the opposite of what they're supposed to do. I feel very anxious, can't focus on anything, don't feel like doing anything, can barely get out of bed.
It feels terrible, and there is still a week until my appointment, I don't know if I can bear it for that long.

I have to say though, this happens with every medication I take. I start to feel worse after a month. I feel like it's something to do with my subcouncious...
Just... a very complicated situation...

Oh I see, that really sucks then... I live in Turkey and in state hospitals, psychiatrists don't really conversate that much, you just go in the room and leave after like 3-4 minutes with a prescription so... it is possible that they are not very aware... also can't message them either since it's a state hospital, they don't really like answering calls... oh well I suppose I'll talk with my mother about this, see what I can do. Maybe go to the hospital before my appointment, see if I can talk to the psychiatrists.

Thanks a lot for the answer, and for giving me a name as well, ''Paradoxical side effects." I'm gonna look that up. You've been a huge help.

Of course! And also look up "withdrawal symptoms" of SSRIs and atypical antipsychotics because those are what you're on. Wishing you the best!
