When the site was down, and the server lost information like posted threads, did they lose messages from chats too?

From what I'm aware all activity on the site got deleted during that time period sadly, so yes.Only the chats and PMs after Aug. 31st are lost, same like with the threads and posts. Older chats/PMs are there. The chat is back up again and working. You find it in the menu on the left side.
