Strictly speaking, nothing. I've packed my things such that I'm good to go if I started fasting now and booked a hotel. I'm internally ready for it.

But I can list things I like about being alive.

Consciousness by itself is interesting. When you start thinking about death the tiny details about how certain textures feel suddenly become more noticeable.

I like reading and learning and thinking about things. My dream was to do a good postgrad program and in a world where I wasn't depressed or lonely I would be sailing toward that goal on full steam.

I like good food. I'm craving for mutton biryani right now...

My girlfriend, she's the most precious thing to me in the whole world. It would break her heart knowing what I'm about to do. Making her laugh has been one of the things that still gives me joy, holding her gives me some warmth. She's so goofy as well, I could listen to her talk for hours and I often do happily.

I don't want to think about how she will cry.
