It might sound stupid but sometimes when I wanna cheer up a little I'll go and watch some silly movie like Eurotrip or something. Just keeping me entertained without having to over-analyze everything, honestly works good for me when it comes to clearing up my mind:)

A personal thing, but I'm going to a birthday party this Saturday. I have to admit I'm pretty excited, getting away from my family for some time, escaping problems and hopefully being too distracted to feel bad. Two of my childhood best friends will be there so I'm hoping for an amazing time

Below are some things I've heard from others, and some I have said to others over the years:

- Another minute, another hour, another day.

- Things can change in a heartbeat

- Things will look better in the morning

- Things will get easier. I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but it will.

- Don't aim for perfection, aim for improvement.

- Don't put so much pressure on yourself (this is a really good one, it made me realise a LOT - the same as the one above it)

- Reduce your expectations of people (that way, you hurt less - this is really true)

- You are not responsible for others, only yourself (unless you have kids, obviously).

- Learn to put yourself first

- Learn to stop being a people pleaser, and people will stop taking advantage (i.e boundaries, which we are ALL entitled to, and should have - obviously only arseholes take advantage of the vulnerable, but it is very true)
