• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm wondering if anyone has any writers that move them that they'd like to recommend? It doesn't have to be exclusive to poetry. I enjoy reading a lot and I'm always on the hunt for new work. I know threads in Off Topic don't gain much traction, but it's worth a shot.

Below is a piece from one of my favorite writers, Dessa.

Life,
life is bad.
But people are good.
Regrettably, life is the only way to animate people.
They are otherwise slack dolls
slumped over their desks
whose limbs must be
stuffed through the holes in their clothing.

Life is a clumsy instrument,
the heavy key to wind a spring.
Life is also, incidentally,
the only good distraction
from my impending death.
