So the store that I work at recently got a new manager. I've been there for about a year, and I really miss the old manager. This new guy is very "corporate", for lack of better words. He's very competitive and much more controlling than the previous guy. He's made a lot of changes that have made everyone upset.
When I came in today, I was informed that he's started doing "employee of the month", and that really pisses me off because that just creates unhealthy competition within the workplace, and that's the last thing our store needs. The sales staff here is like one big family, and I'd hate to see it fall apart with tactics like this.
I'm so mad. I might just start looking for another job.
