yeah that something I have noticed in life, people like to posture themselves as caring about the mental wellbeing of others, but they always seem to never actually help others when given the opportunity to do so. People like to make themselves feel like virtuous, kind, caring & helpful people. Though most would incorrectly posit themselves as such, but when there self assessment as being a kind person is challenged they never seem to live up to there own ideas and values.
You kind of just have to look out for you're self in life, because relaying on others is only going to end up with them neglecting you so that they can pat themselves on the back, about how kind of a person they supposedly are, over actually helping you with what ever problems that you have.
