That was a good song. Nostalgia is very deceitful. We tend to overpraise the past, because all the crap is forgotten. The only thing I like from the 80s are the heavy metal bands :)

As far as "progress" goes, the 80s were all smoke and mirrors. Even if something resembled progress it ended up regressing again because of that pesky human nature thing.
