I am not looking for any method advice or a how to guide exactly, I have those already but what I am looking for is advice around the ethical side of CTB.

I have 4 methods well prepared for and I'm considering which is really the best one.

2 are external from my house and 2 would be internal, in theory I could combine...

I am looking at train suicide or vehicular suicide at the moment, they could be combined, but like every thing there are risks. I pretty certain though from the speed, been hit at 100kmph should work. There is the driver of the train to consider.

With my car option, I've the safety features disabled and think that equally 150kmph into a walk would do it. Easy enough to achieve. There is the risk of hitting another car mind. So that's the risk there. Crash one could be made a little like accident but investigation would show the seatbelts gone, airbags out etc.

Then internal ones as in the house, are hang or CO. They risk me being found by a friend or family. I don't know how that would be for them. Hard consideration overall, I just want to ensure my method works so I will be putting my all into which ever one...

I think the most ethical one is the train. Train drivers know about this risk and it might not even be the first time the driver is experiencing it. Where I live it happens all the time. Family finding you is probably the worst.

weird logic but ok

the train driver wouldnt continue their day like nothing happened; they could be scarred for life

there's also ppl in the train who could see it

along w people in the area, at the train tracks and much more to consider

im not into guilt tripping that OP shouldnt do it, bc the train way is one of the methods ive considered and i went thru the same thought process

but the logic of "hey its ok bc the driver knows the risk" aint it

and even if it happens frequently in ur area, i doubt that its the same train driver every single time it happens

but its ok, i somewhat get ur point of "it happens"

just shouldnt be as easy as "its cool, theyre used to it"

Yes ofc I can't imagine how traumatizing it would be to run over a person. I was just trying to compare it to the other options. Losing a person to suicide is one of the worst things ever, even if you saw it coming. Finding them on top of that, will traumatize you for life and me personally, I wouldn't wanna do that to my friends or family. The car option is probably the worst because there's a risk you might kill someone else. Someone who's not suffering and actually enjoys being alive.

Genuinely didn't think of that. I've been in a train that hit someone but never saw the person. Also if you do it at night it'll reduce that risk.

I know, it's just that I think they might cope better than someone who is completely caught off guard and never thought they'll see a dead person in their life.

I really didn't mean for it to come off that way😭 sounds heartless

oh no, dont take my post the hard way

its pretty much also sharing my own thought process when i considered jumping in front of a train

its not only the driver but also a bunch of other things (along w the possibility of failing and losing an arm or a leg)

every method has its downsides so there's no right answer for their question

once again

please dont take my reply the hard way

its just that every method p much sucks bc of the risks
