Help Otc pain pills before hanging?

Ok, what if I were to take some pain pills before I were to do hanging? Just to take them to possibly reduce pain, would it even matter? Should I even bother with taking anything? Would it reduce any pain or no? They would have to be otc. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

It's really not going to make a difference in that kind of pain, but if it makes you feel better, why not?
