Why? Your method?I was actually just thinking about this! I'm an organ donor, & I just realized that by the time I'm found, my organs probably won't be good anymore. Son of a...
It isI should be an organ donor as well. I may not want to live, but I wouldn't mind if my organs could be used to give someone who does want to live a chance. That'd be beautiful, actually.
Bummer, I actually wanted to do that.Hospitals don't accept organs from suicide victims. First of all you will die outside of the hospital so it is close to zero percent that your organs will still be usable. If you manage to kill yourself in a way your organs are still viable they won't accept them anyways because doing so would create a moral hazard; suicidal people would effectively be provided with (further) incentive to commit suicide knowing they would be helping dozens of people through their organs.

Actually just googling that I'm seeing plenty of articles about people getting organs from people who ctb, are you sure about that?Hospitals don't accept organs from suicide victims.
That is what I was thinking. But the biggest problem I see is time. How long after death can a person's organs still be used? I guess I'll Google that question. Anyway, I plan to be very remote. Probably would not be found for several days, so doubtful organs could be used. I would not sacrifice being found, just so I could donate organs. But I do wish I could!Actually just googling that I'm seeing plenty of articles about people getting organs from people who ctb, are you sure about that?
I know what you mean.It seems an aweful waste, given that I am perfectly healthy (physically).
nitrogen & exit bag. not sure if my organs would be good after a certain amount of time had passedWhy? Your method?
thank you! jesus. just looking at this list & having to have dialysis a few times a year ago makes me hope the timing works so that my kidney is saved. it's a horrible life being on that, & a long waiting list. auuuuggghOK, Here is what I got after Googling:
Q: What Is The Maximum Time Span Between Recovering Organs/Tissues and Transplantation?
A: The approximate maximum time for the following organs/tissues is:
Lung (4-6 hours);
Heart (4-6 hours);
Liver (24 hours);
Pancreas (24 hours);
Kidney (72 hours);
Corneas (14 days);
Bone (5 years);
Skin (5 years);
Heart valves (10 years).
Same method, with same doubts.nitrogen & exit bag. not sure if my organs would be good after a certain amount of time had passed
No, we don't owe anybody anything.Maybe I'm selfish
Sounds like a good trade to me!I would only give my heart away in exchange for a peaceful death under anesthesia.
