Help NitritevsNitrate

Hi everyone!
I know that maybe there is already a thread of this but hey, this post can be deleted if there is, I have seen that many take Nitrite and others both Nitrate, if someone would be kind enough to explain how Nitrate works? What is the difference with nitrite in terms of CTB and if it has any advantage over the other, would this advantage be?

Sodium nitrate won't kill you, it's a very different chemical to Sodium Nitrite.

You might be thinking of sodium azide, which is lethal as well but pretty different to nitrite.

You definitely want nitrite, not nitrate.
