• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Tv, movies, books, video games, porn, religion. The real world was never enjoyable.

Yeah, and these things are designed that way. A form of escapism, something that offers us comfort, without the ability of hurting us...
It's great. The sad thing is, that it's also a form of survival. Reality is horrible and terrifying...And I don't want to be here anymore.
But these things somewhat console me...

How did people feel comfort before escapism?

How did people feel comfort before escapism?
Hmm...Great question. Well....I think that there was always at least some form of escapism, since the beginning of time. It definitely changed a lot throughout the years, but people have the natural tendencies to try to escape, whatever Is hurting them. It's an instinct, much like you would escape from a physical threat, we are escaping from a mental or emotional one. Back then, without media, it would be literature, art, religion, games (d&d and stuff...) and if they had nothing, then daydreaming always existed. Now, escapism officially started during the Great depression, as a way to cope with it, but it's not like people didn't do it way before then...And the thing is, everyone might have a different escape....For someone, work can be their escape, while others need escapism to escape their stressful worklife...
