I go to bed in the morning and wake up around 4 p.m. It's a completely terrifying lifestyle. I'm trying to normalize it now because being awake at night always comes with some heavy depression for me. The problem is, I have nothing to do during the day. I didn't go to college and I'm unemployed. I never saw myself turning out like this when I was a teenager. I was pretty smart and my grades were good. I just can't understand why my parents tried to stop me from going to college.
What's the point of the past? In the end, this is how things turned out. I just wanna end it all.

I kinda went off track. Anyway, do you guys manage to keep a healthy routine? I see so many people living their lives just fine, working or studying. Just thought I'd post to see if there's anyone like me.

I, too, am unemployed with nothing to do. I'm like you: I sleep all day and don't do much.

Worked nightshifts for years (my choice I prefer quiet and find darkness calming).

Never really recovered a healthy routine afterwards. I can function being out of sync with the rest of the world just fine. Not missing much - avoid crowds / traffic etc

Plus nighttime is a vibe with music. Helps relax the mind in my experience.

Glad to know there's someone like me. What do you do while you're awake? For me, it's endless scrolling on Twitter... refreshing or just watching YouTube Shorts non-stop. I know, it's a pretty messed up life…

You're right. My brain is literally rotting away. It's probably better to replace it with something productive. Thanks for the advice.

Free movies on YouTube, and yeah, Twitter. Sometimes I read a Batman comic.

I'm really just killing time while I wait for SN to arrive.

I work in graphic design , I have to sleep when I can
I work on my own hours but also am still in college , I'm lucky to have this job before I even have my degree , they were impressed with my past work so they hired me , when I'm not in school I have to do work so the max amount of sleep I ever get is 5-6 hours
at least the pay is good and I can live
I have no words. You're really admirable. Balancing work and studies isn't an easy thing. You're truly an adult. I hope everything you do goes well.

I worked night shift for 5 years, and now I'm disoriented trying to stay up in the day. Even if I manage to I will Still get that second wind late at night where I'm used to being active.

Back when I was hikkineet I had this same schedule, I wouldn't go to bed until around 5-6am and I would wake up around 2-3pm. My day was scheduled around library hours. After I got up I would go hang out at the library until it closed around 7pm and then I would just walk around town in laps until around 1 in the morning without a flashlight. I was deathly afraid of the dark so I was forcing myself to experience it to overcome my fear, walking in the pitch black forest and shit. Then I'd go home and read the books I had checked out and hang out on the internet. I tried to do at least an hour of calisthenics each day, sometimes after waking up, sometimes in the early morning hours. I didn't have weights so I lifted furniture. I was very fit and strong.
When I got a day job I was supposed to fix my schedule but really I would just work from morning to night then stay up til 4-5am drinking and shitposting. I got like 3 hours of sleep and ran on coffee.
Now I work night shift. it's basically the same time table as when I was neet.
If nighttime causes you such distress you could exercise right before it gets dark so you feel tired enough to sleep when you're supposed to.
