A man is chilling in an empty, blank room. Suddenly, guards drag him out against their will, and tell him to run through several mazes rigged with series of traps with a supposed prize at the end. While running through the path, the man decides to try to go back to the room, but guards block him calling him cowardly and telling him he should be grateful for this opportunity to earn a prize. He runs the path, getting caught in many traps, including ones that cannot be avoided. He is bruised, stabbed by spikes, and cut to pieces. But just like in the world of Angel Beats, he cannot die. He makes it to the end. He opens the door to his 'prize': the same blank room he started out in.
