• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Books, because I like to imagine it how I want and the way I want it to be. Movies are someone else's interpretation of the story

Books, because there's more detail and there are some things that can be left up more to the reader's imagination.

books🧸esp bc movie adaptations almost never stick to the original story. although it's nearly impossible to find an interesting 1 nowadays, book or movie. for me @ least.

definitely books. once you read a book and someone decides to make a movie: turns out to be shit. i wonder if the director even read the original book. exception may be lord of the rings but they had to change some minor stuff. hobbit was just totally make up crap to make a trilogy

Books. I find them more immersive.

Movies but I wish I liked books more. I'd like to be more intelligent/ cultured but, don't want to put the effort in.

Either goes; they're containers. With tradeoffs — advantages & disadvantages. Largely depends what you put in them

Probably harder to make good movies than good books though, due to industry constraints
